Homeland

Ive enjoyed season 2 apart from the mobile phone thing.

I do struggle to see how long they can keep the series going with the premise they have but overall I'm enjoying it.

Seems to be losing its way imho and with each episode I (we, wife and me) are losing interest.

i was enjoying it but as others have said i find myself bored half way through a ep now.

hurry up breaking bad and game of thrones series 3 :p

I find I lose interest in most stuff after a couple of seasons. I keep hoping that Quinn is a double agent just to shake it up.

Just caught up with this

Still enjoying it and did not expect the agents to get gunned down! The kids story is a bit boring but rest has been surprisingly good.

I'm getting a bit fed up with it now.

The problem is that nothing is happening. These silly side stories, dead ends and red herrings are just tiresome.

When I first started watching it (series 1), I expected it to be a lot more intelligent than it's turning out to be.

My problem with it is that its now getting stupid. I mean come on Carrie would never be a CIA agent in a million years, she'd never pass the psychic test and her character is just getting repetitive now, its always "Oh they don't believe me" blah blah emotional breakdown, then goes roge like a Disney version of Jack in 24 only to prove she was right in the first place. Rinse and repeat the next episode.

by psychic im sure you meant psychological? it must be weird for CIA to listen in on operatives shagging. im pleased he went off the rails for a bit as its all been a bit plain sailing for his double agent status.

rotters

I am getting a little tired of Claire Danes doing the same shtick over and over again ... whine, cry, shout, ramble, whine, stop listening, whine more blah blah blah

Stopped watching this now, new some others that have as well, its just got stupid now and the story has lost its way completely. It has the feeling where this was meant for only a couple of seasons, but because the first was popular they are going to string it out with utterly pointless side story arch's that will just fade out.

I don't think it's as incisive as it could have been and I think they spunked their load far too early on the Brody reveal but all in all I like it. Not as good as I hoped but a mile better than most dross on tv at the mo.

The phrase you are looking for is "Sub-plot".

And yes, the sub-plot with the whiny daughter is ruining it for me.

Are they Sub-plots?..I wouldn't give such obvious "filler" plot that title.

Shows like 24 had proper sub plots that came to their own conclusions or some how towards the end tied into the main plot.
