Has anyone tried this:

Go to http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us . YOu should see all prices in $. Search for Far Cry 3, click on it, click add to cart and pay.

This is to get it on Steam in UK.

There's another game called Scribblenauts Unlimited thats released in the states and you can buy it via this method.

Apparently it needs to be localized before it comes to the UK yet I've had no problems playing it.

This regional or international release date stuff gets on my wick.

I did notice though when you add a non game to steam when it uses Uplay steam won't pick it up.

Have ordered the download for £24.50 off greenmangaming.com using their 30% off code - seems like a good deal.

It's not clear where I download from though - no sign of it on steam, confusion about uplay, hmm! Either way I think I'll find out in a few days where to go.

I've got the game (thanks to it been free with my Graphics card) I've pre-ordered and installed Uplay. However, the game does not show up in my games list, is this normal? (I've got a confirmation e-mail, I know its not released yet but expected it to at least show up as pre-ordered).

That's not really a unique feature though, they all do that now and even most stand-alone games have their own update checker.

As I recall Far Cry 2 got very good reviews too. I'll wait till Joe Public has played it

It felt great until you found the spawn points and then it lost all interest to me. Such a missed target that game.
