Far Cry 3 Thread

I've just started playing FC2 as well, I really couldn't get away with it when it came out, but I didn't have a decent PC back then. I've got a pretty good one now so might give it a second chance although I do remember thinking that something didn't feel right about the movement controls in the game, that plus I seem to remember re-spawning enemies driving me mad.

Anyway, had trouble finding FC3 on steam so ended up ordering it from an actual shop :eek: I can't remember the last time I got a physical copy of a PC game. I just hope it installs and I don't need the disk in the drive afterwards, I can't be doing with having to pop disks in these days like it's the year 2003 BS (before steam) ;)

By the way from the leaked reviews i've seen of the pc game, it has a really restrictive FOV so after all the complaints at the gaming shows they didn't fix it? :rolleyes:

I'm so glad I support Indie and Retro games and not AAA titles

Other than that, it’s a nice PC version: responsive mouse movement, specific graphics and FoV options, tutorials reflect your custom controls, and it runs decently on Ultra-everything on a modest 3GHz dual core machine with a Radeon HD 5800. The engine doesn’t quite suit the jungle as beautifully as it did the African desert in Far Cry 2, but it has some beautiful views.

You can't say that, its got like all these amazing reviews from gaming review websites, its awesome honest.
 
does anybody know if i can buy the retail version,and could i use the key code to activate on steam UK.which i do know that it's not on the uk steam apart from the usa version.
so could it work if i just put the KEY in my UK steam account?
 
What the **** is wrong with you people hating on it, stating over and over how you aren't going to buy it and the review sites are "tricking" us all? This is a Farcry 3 thread, if you aren't buying it don't come and spout your **** in here. Did daddy not love you or something? Is this your outlet?

It's embarassing.

Personally, I can't wait for the release, and the sheer volume of awesome reviews across a wide spectrum of sites bolsters my confidence in it. Roll on Friday!

there's no need for this reaction, i'm just going to wait for the reviews from here before deciding what to do.
 
I have a been avoiding reviews because of spoilers, the only thing I want to know is the enemy respawn rate the same as Far cry 2? I wanted to like that game but found it dull and repetitive as a result of constant attacks.
