'NVIDIA GeForce 310.64 Beta Spotted in the Wild

Just as enthusiasts are beginning to test their hardware with Far Cry 3, and the GPU-toasting visual marvel that it is, NVIDIA released a driver specifically for it. Although intended for testers, the driver made its way onto the NVIDIA website. According to the change-log posted by them, the GeForce 310.64 beta enhances performance on Far Cry 3 by as much as 38 percent, in addition to all the performance enhancements and bug fixes being trickled down by previous R310 series drivers.'

Cheers, I'm waiting on the drivers which will fix the bf3 crashes which a few of us have reported since 310.61. Windows 8 doesn't seem to have a dumpfolder so I can't send a crash log to NVIDIA, but I'll try these out anyway.

edit - ALso why don't they include 670 performance increases? It just shows the 680 and 660.

Performance Boost – Increases performance for GeForce 400/500/600 Series GPUs in several PC games vs. GeForce 306.97 WHQL drivers. Results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration:

I think they give the 680 and 660 as examples, not as a definitive "you will get these gains with these two cards"

Of course I maybe wrong :)

^^ Yeah thats normally the way, my GTX470 almost always got the same example increases (when they were actually working as real world increases on the 480) as the ones for the 480, etc.

installed fine, ran the Hitman Absolution benchmark, avgs are about the same but max fps peaked 17 fps higher than my run on 310.61. about to run heaven now

EDIT : Heaven score is identical to my run on 310.61

^^ Seems the same for SLI 680's @ 5760*1080 31min and 49avg on the bench. Hopefully a little smoother than I was getting would be cool :)
