Did you go for a clean install on the drivers? I have been doing that lately but not sure if it makes any difference. It required 2 restarts when I did these ones.

Very weird why it will not run..
Sounds more like your system, an update that is due next week is not affecting bf3 today.
Theres a 3.7gb update for bf3's AK expansion pack out today, it's causing all sorts of issues with the games existing content.
