Question about the 660ti

46 average FPS isn't good performance. The 7950 looks like it's a non-boost edition and at stock clock speeds.

It's sitting where it has always sat in these conditions i.e. level or just behind a 660Ti.

There's nowt in it.

HD 7950 is still the best choice because of price and free games.

(I still can't believe the Ti has gone up?)

providing that they perform as well as you suggest. (HIS)

Indeed it is. If the OP wants to avoid AMD on the balance of things he should probably save a little longer for a 670 on the 680 PCB.

As any 7950 will overclock above and beyond stock 680 performance I'd say that there is a fair amount in it. I will state for clarity that a 680 will overclock beyond what a 7950 can offer of course.

The chart looks about right though, it gives the 7970 GE edition a comfortable lead over the 680 on a Gaming Evolved title. Clocking a Boost Edition 7950 to the same clock speeds as a 7970 GE will see it be 5% slower than the 7970 GE. (i.e. pretty blooming fast for £240 :D)

Nice to see nVidia performance is not gimped upon release on a Gaming Evolved title as I really do despise Gaming Evolved and The Way It's Meant To Be Played.
