Think I've finally settled on a decent balance between quality and performance, just need to figure out a way of disabling SSAO permanently, the game keeps re-enabling when popping into the settings screen.

No email for me yet either yet. The Uplay website help says to download:

"You can download by either clicking the Download button on the Order Details page"

You go there put in your information and it then shows your purchase fine but no download button.

I am guessing the download button will appear once it is released.

Not impressed with the Uplay shop - very clunky and not at all intuitive

Any performance tweaks (besides lowering the Post FX setting) for gamers looking for the best perfomance/quality trade-off?

My card is struggling at 2560x1440 and I'm not willing to lower the resolution.

12.10 drivers and 4XMSAA, theyll soon patch it for Crossfire then we'll see how your 7950 does with everything maxed

I find dropped from 8XMSAA to 4XMSAA gives you about 20FPS boost and theres no difference in quality or smooth lines

just got my code from GMG, when the hell can I play? Can't find any link in that uPlay **** to activate anything.

Assuming its released at midnight I still cant find out how to activate anything

Okay I think I'm just being a nub, I've downloaded using GMG capsule (Deluxe edition) and it's installed it, it appears in the uninstall list in CP so I know it's there. UPlay however refuses to recognise it, do I have to wait til midnight before it agrees to show it?

Download Capsule from GMG site and install, now logg into that app with GMG details and Farcry3 will show and allow you to download from there.

Once installed I run the game and it opened Uplay where I had to enter my key.

Yes that comes with the download, you install the game and it runs through Uplay. On first run you get asked to enter your key.

Yes it is you need to launch it from there remember you need to make an account.

Yes, but you'll be disappointed as from what I've read, the people who have got it on Steam in America etc., none of them have Steam features, it's literally an over glorified shortcut from your library.

Already had a uPlay account, hence why I spent 10 minutes confused as to why I could activate a product on it.
