Far Cry 3 Thread

There's so much to do it's crazy you could spend hours and hours detouring just en-route to the story objective! Do pirates constantly harass you? I only had a quick go but seemed like every time I drove there was instantly a pirate jeep on my ass kinda annoying. As I said I didn't play much though so maybe it'll change as I really get into it.

Anyone else get litle graphical issues? i have a 7970 and i notice things like little flashes every now and again in peoples hair background objects etc
Also if you play on high( it may change with diffent settings) i see this pixely filter effect appear every now and again.

Yup, they didn't learn from far cry 2 with regards to that (constantly bumping into pirates)

Only way to avoid it is to stay off the main roads.

Game's running sweet as a nut now, apart from what looks like ghosting/shadowing around the NPC models I don't have any issues. Thanks for the Update on the MP server situation too.

Help ! !,I bought a code off the mm Im finding it hard to get the code to register, Using the way the code card says doent work there is no redeem code box on the ubishop page for farcry 3,
I have downloaded the game though the link supplied earlier in the thread, so have that installed, when goning to launch the game it asks for the code then, but the amd code comes up with not recognised or invalid? What am I doing wrong?

Bullit

Add far cry 3 the lost expeditions to your basket in ubishop and type the code there. The price should change to £0.00

Yeh same here. Not much but it happens from time to time.

Had another little session and loving it.

It looks so damn good I kept stopping and having a look around, that is until a jeep full of crims comes down the road and I have to jump in a bush so they don't spot me.

Time will tell if the formula will feel this good throughout the whole game, but so far so good.

I know a few friends who were getting poor download speeds for both AC3 + FC3 so torrented them but used their legit code... However statistically they pirated a game they paid for...

yep that's the thing.

thing is the files that they torrented may be corrupt. so they would have to download another version.

so statistically they've contribute twice to piracy figures.

ive downloaded the reloaded version until its released on steam. when it is released on steam, i wont have to wait for the download via steam servers. ill just pop the files inot the correct directory.

Players who pre-order Far Cry 3 will receive The Lost Expeditions Edition of the game. It contains two exclusive missions not available in the regular version.

These missions, "The Forgotten Experiment" and "Ignition in the Deep", offer up an extra 40 minutes of gameplay, Ubisoft revealed.

You'll also get a Type 10 Japanese World War 2 flare gun for use in the game's multiplayer modes.

Did anyone who pre-ordered using the AMD codes get these extras?

Crosshairs no longer visible with optical sights

My crosshairs which were working fine are no longer visible with my bows optical marksman sights. I have read somewhere that this bug affects all sights. This is a game breaker for me as bows and sniper rifles were to be my main weapons.

Well that has made me glad I haven't bought it yet, can't stand constant attacks.
