Andrew Flintoff v Richard Dawson (Boxing)

My missus throws a better right than Freddie - I should know.

Slapping, turn into it Freddie, else you won't do any damage!

He's trying to throw combinations but isn't pulling his arms back properly, its more like a girl fight and slapping than punching, what they hell have they been training him to do. His punches are horrendous, hell the one before the "knockdown" if it was that, he pulled his arm out, forward slowly then threw the punch, no acceleration, no snap, no power, nothing.

why is it ??

he's trained and gotten his pro card and its his first fight as a novice. why cant he have a crack at it ?

Because I grew up watching him play cricket, surreal=\=can't have a crack at it

That said ive seen better punches thrown at school this is hilarious

He's still doing it, I've never seen a professional boxer basically punch with just his forearm, he's sticking his upper arm forward, holding it there, and basicall punching just by pivoting the elbow, its unbelieavably poor. To be fair, most peoples first "professional" fight isn't infront of a crowd like this, even if he can punch properly, infront of a big crowd, nervous everything can go completely out the window.

I can't tell if Dawson is looking scared or thinking what the ****?! when Flintoff comes windmilling at him.

for a debut with no amateur background he's doing ok. is funny how many people are willing to have a pop at him yet wouldnt dare do what he's doing.

Seriously, just because he's previously famous, how has his team not taught him hwo to throw a damn punch, its ******* boxing ffs, and you send him into the ring without knowing how the mechanics of punching work? Theres panic, and theres, just plain rubbish.
