I have yeah, they're all quackers.

I suppose a good example is someone who is working in IT but has no knowledge around the subject? I often have to put up with people talking about their PC or components like why a certain processor is better then another while being totally oblivious to the facts. Its a bit like PC nerd fanboyism.. Maybe I should close the thread while I still can =)

Is that the best that you have? You either aren't in a bad situation at all or you haven't been working in IT long.

I haven't been working here long but the list of annoyances are building up quickly. I think my job might be reduced to making how-to documents :)

I was working at this regulatory body and the top guy there earning over £1m a year basic, his title was ridiculous as well, Director General or something. He came in some mornings and said his PC was not working and on more than one occasion all i had to do was turn it on. On one occasion it was turned on but it had gone to sleep.

Ticket in our system right now (intial ticket goes to a hardware team for replacement then on to us to redo our stuff):

"Issue: Hot chocolate was spilt on the machine, and it kind of blew up. Now it won't turn on, and doesn't "smell right"."

hahahaha!

I get sent through, regularly, tickets that have not been even touched or checked, or even any detail. They see SharePoint and fire it over.
I get very annoyed at them. Went down and offered them time slots to learn more, or get a handle on what I expected and they just sat there and said they didn't like SharePoint.
I couldn't give 2 *****, it's your job you ****.

They're morons, long and short of it and think that taking like 15 calls is a lot. Get in the real world, idiots.
