Decided to start a new play through, figured it was time I got the DLC. Particularly like the idea of hearth fire but have heard it's buggy, but sod it, I like the game enough I might as well get them both. Sorry 6500 words of essay due in January... :S

New car aerial topper.

Posted on my Surface, on my Surface.

How is the Surface?

I'm getting one for xmas and will primarily be using it for taking notes in lectures and then just generally being a tablet to browse on around the house. It will be my first ever tablet. And the reviews about it seem so hit and miss, what's your view?

Also, JUVENTUS :D

How is the Surface?

Bit early to say, I have owned it over a week, but only got back from holiday with it yesterday so its still very new.

But keyboard & hardware are epic. The keyboard really makes it.

Few software niggles, but I'm still getting used to it.

Long needed upgrade from onboard sound, music sounds pretty damn awesome now.

I'm seeing the Hobbit in 3d IMAX rather than HFR at Norwich cinema. I decided to do some research into HFR and read some of the initial reviews people have posted, which were varied and mixed.

Some have said it doesn't feel quite right, and that it feels more like watching a TV show, less atmospheric etc... IMAX 3D is also more expensive.

I was thinking of going with IMAX but with PJ wanting it to be in HFR etc... I thought it might be better some how... but alas... IMAX it shall be :D

Not sure you'll actually use it to take notes in lectures.

I got an iPad 2, about well, probably about a year and a half ago now, (maybe last October), with that exact intention.

You soon find that you:
a) Can keep up better with a pen and paper - but might catch up on notes on the tablet.
b) Procrastinate too easily with a tablet in a lecture...

Mind you, they are absolutely cracking devices to have around the house.

I haven't used my laptop since buying my iPad pretty much.

Surface might be slightly different in lectures, but I don't see it being massively different. (I did have a keyboard for my iPad - but alas, that doesn't get used so much anymore either, as I can type fast enough now on the touchscreen)

There's always someone that has to go one better isn't there? :p

The Balvenie you posted is a lovely whisky Raymond - enjoy :)

As for the Glenfiddichs - well I finished my bottle of 12 year old just last night, used the last of it as a hot tody to fight off the dreaded "Man Flu" and I woke up this morning feeling much better. :D
The 15 year old Glenfiddich I've still got unopened, that'll probably change by Christmas / New Year time. I'll be interested to hear your opinion on the 18 year old though . . . . . .

Batteries, 10 boxes of 10 of them. :P Wireless mice for the office was a bad idea.

They last forever though, to the extent that mine are now out of date and im down to my last few packs still last around 6 months in my mouse (per 2) so a box lasts years lol.

This morning my Galaxy S3 died, I was :(

This afternoon I bought a Galaxy Note II, I am now :)

I have never been a whiskey fan..(and you ask why buy them?) I want to know what I am missing out as all I have ever tried is JD and Jameson which isn't amazing so I want to try what proper whiskey taste like.

The Balvenie is on sale and the others are miniatures so I get to try all of them without spending like £100 on all 3.

Here is a nicer picture :p
