7950 or 7850

They both come with the main selling games, Farcry3, Hitman and sleeping dogs however my friend is looking for an upgrade I was wondering is it worth it for him to put another £100 in for a little difference in performance.

And how what's a mild overclock I could put on 7850 and roughly what performance could it reach, 7950 maybe with a decent overclocker?

7950 is better than 7850. OC'ing the 7850 will get the performance to a similar level. You need to get to at least 1200 core and 1450 memory (which you don't need to increase voltage for, I have this clock). The 7950 can OC of course and is untouchable once it is.

Depends card to card, my Gigabyte 7850 wouldn't go over 1100.
