Yes bases are now fixed, if you take control its now yours. You do still get people on road ways in places you dont own.

How are people dealing with vsync in this game?

If I turn vsync off completely my cards get very hot (70C+ with fans running fast), but if I force "adaptive vsync" through the Nvidia Control Panel then it doesn't feel like it's 60FPS solid, it feels sortof choppy, and I can see from the keyboard that all 4 cores are running at the default 0.987v voltages all of the time.

Is the ingame vsync setting worth using? I've heard that it causes stutter in its own right...

I notice stutter with this game am not sure if its driver or game issue. Am going to play soon and I will force vsync in driver and disable in-game.
I will post back my finding

Is there something up with steam?can't access the map editor or game,I get this error msg "failed to start game,missing exuctable"

Was playing and after finishing this tower Look what happened to my Mini map lol It became much smaller and nicer to look at, but then I went and completed a mission and now it is back full size
What happened? is it possible I can get it back to this size?

Setting Vsync in driver settings did make my game much more smoother.

Mine did the same, however it was triggered by me alt+tabbing out and back into the game (then setting back from windowed to full screen)

Just completed it!

Awesome game, really really good story. I started off playing and focusing most of my time doing side missions, towers and bases but in honesty it did start to bore me. Cracked in with the main missions and wow the game got good.

The reviews were spot on, would rate this a 9/10.

And what's best, you can go back and explore the island once the main story is complete.

Is there anyway to reset the video settings? or has anyone got the default settings as i accidently adjusted some setting now it runs kind of laggy, yet from the begining without touching anything! but that might be some kind of auto detect.

Not sure I will ever get round to finishing it tbh. The story is excellent imo, but the missions are just too bland. Follow yellow dot- press spacebar when we tell you to-mash Q or whatever. I must be quite close to the end now though. I think I will pick it up and finish it off in a few weeks.

Whilst overall I really like the game, it might not be a good sign that instead of finishing this, I am replaying a game which I found incredibly disappointing!

Im playing on ultra with AA off. during loading and sometimes cutscenes, it lags incredibly. i'd estimate its dropping to around 10-15fps. during gameplay though it seems smooth as silk.

this should have been the island for dead island every time im in this game i cant hlp to think there should be zombies here i would love to lead a zombie in to the see for a shark

Yep. Ended up switching to dx 9 instead.
