Avernum: Escape from the Pit

Awesome, sprawling, old school RPG with great writing, a proper difficulty curve and tactical combat.

Been a pretty drab year for me, my favourite is Guild Wars 2 but I don't really play it.

I was really hoping Iron Front 1944 would be fantastic but it was a bit of a damp squib.

Those are the games that have had across the board praise this year. Can't go wrong with any of them.
