I heard all y'alls got some burrito chains in the UK now? I think Chipotle and its ilk are a total ripoff considering it's just rice and beans and a tortilla with a smidgen of low-grade meat. What a racket! It doesn't even taste good compared to other chains (like qdoba). To be fair though eating one of those things could get you through a whole day, although I'd bet they are half the size in the UK.

It's owned by McDonalds you know.

Theres a burrito place in newcastle that opened within the last year, I've no idea what its called but my ex and her son liked it until there third visit and they both had the runs lol

You're American. That explains a lot.

I've only been to one burrito shop in the uk. It's called Nana Mexico, it's independant, only in Cambridge and better that any of the chain stuff I've had in the states. Mexican food isn't very popular in the uk although it's more popular than it was.

It's ok and decently priced - but I live in SoCal where there are plenty better places around :p

I used to love chipotle when I lived in the states. So cheap, but it was good quality too. I haven't tried the ones over here, but my bro says they're nearly as good.

I'm pretty serious about burritos btw (that's what happens when you grow up in LA). It's hard to get a decent burrito in this country. I usually have to resort to barburrito, which always tastes bland to me. Need better hot sauces too.

Never been to Chipotle but I do go to Daddy Donkey, Chilango and Benitos Hat regularly. Benitos Hat is my favourite!

So much faux Mexican **** around these days. The restaurant chains are worst for it, presenting dishes barely considered Tex-Mex much less Mexican.
