Facebook is no more...

Googles DNS certainly isn't able to resolve the address anymore.

Lolwhut? 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 can still resolve facebook.com for me?

Edit: HELPS IF I SPELL IT RIGHT!

nslookup facebook.com

Well I'm using Google's DNS servers (the IP's above) and I still can't connect.

I did it - it was me. I confess I hacked it coz too many people are substituting facebook for the real human touch and so we have a world of narcissting, approval seeking social inepts.

This is not right!

nslookup
> www.facebook.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8

DNS request timed out. timeout was 2 seconds.
* google-public-dns-a.google.com can't find www.facebook.com: Server failed

I did see the typo on yours though ;) lol.

EDIT: Ah, you've sorted the typo out now! That said, weird that you're still able to resolve.

EDIT 2:
Ah, see, if I just do the domain, I get results.

Interesting that adding the www. prefix screws DNS over:

nslookup

But it's my birthday tomorrow! How are my 'friends' supposed to wish me happy birthday...

More seriously, how am I going to remind everyone about the event!

There's no way this could have been DDOS'd if you think of the traffic that must hit Facebook normally...
