OcUK Poker Thread.

I'm playing on 888 poker, playing $1 SNGs. Just trying to focus on upping my game and taking the money out of the equation, though the downside is at this limit people don't really respect your raises.

My bankroll has pretty stayed the same, I won a lot initially but then took a small downswing and now just hovering at what I deposited. My weakness is I start to panic a bit when I'm less than 10 BB's, and I'm just not getting any decent hands. I try and loosen up but end up messing up somehow. Any tips from SNG gurus?

Had an up and down night, ended up cashing out £200 from my £30. Could have walked with almost £300 at one point.

Stuck £40 on just now, acted stupid and played a $60 heads up, won it and played two more, won and lost one. Then a $100 heads up and won it.

Bit of cash tabling and sat at $230. Going to drop back again to $30 heads up and see what I can lose.

I'm trying to get a few people together for a 'small' stakes version of High Stakes poker on GSN.

£250 min buy in; £1k max

Hired live dealer & massage 'therapist'

50p/£1 blinds; occasional straddling; Winning with 7-2 earns £5 from each player. Loads of fun stuff like that

yeah i play at aspers every now and then. was a regular about year ago but moved to boro for work so its hard for me to get to and from there. £250 is out of my price range due to me budgeting for PC so my pay in this month will be tied up but if you thinking of doing something in new year then i'll be up for it

Cool, there seems to be no one interested in this thread anymore, kinda sucks because some of threads i see are bloody pointless

Played with 8 friends the other night, came 3rd, certain I would ahve come 2nd had someone not gone all in on the 2nd hand, giving someone double the chips at the start of the game really ruined it. bah. /bitter

I was just in a small sit&Go on Pokerstars with 45 people in it, and down to about 5 left, I had to let someone else use my PC so I quickly went and downloaded the Pokerstars Android App....within a minute of logging out on my PC I was back in the game on my tablet...I didn't even miss a hand! It automatically loaded my table as well when I logged in

It is a very good app as well. Great interface and easy to use. Anyone else use it?

Only problem is now I can play when I am at work as well:eek:;)

Hi guys,

Just recently got into poker and now online poker. Signed up to Pokerstars and I'm pretty broke so no buy in for me at the moment, wish I could just deposit like £1 and play on that!

Games are just not the same when its not for money :/.

Minimum deposit is like $10....surely you can scrape that?

I've got the PS app. It is pretty decent I have to say, although I never bother using it as it destroys my iphone battery so just play on laptop.

When you get $10 together, start playing in freerolls and 1c/2c cash tables.

Something tells me you shouldnt be playing online poker.

Around £7 ($10) is the min deposit amount. I'd set aside around £20 each month. If you're really good and prepared to put in the hours you could make a serious amount!
