Around Derbyshire/South Yorkshire the roads are pure ice. Slipping all over the place this morning, along with the rest of the drivers.

Be careful.

Yes, a bit weird to come out to the car this morning and find no frost but then slide down my street on sheet ice!!

It's fun in an artic this morning too!!

It's a balmy 6C today down here in Londinium. However, I had fun on the way to work yesterday at the roundabout before the car park - my usual handbrake turn was a bit more of a drift than I was expecting! :D

However, for fear over overstating the obvious, it is cold outside and there is ice, ergo be sensible.

Was fun in Huddersfield
Left door - Fell over! Had to hold onto door handles wipers and mirrors whilst defrosting.

Roads were fine once you got onto the M62 though.

Loads of accidents on M1 and M62 today in West Yorkshire, freezing ground conditions followed by rain meant its like an ice rink. Couple that with fog means they all contribute (along with the idiots who insist on driving faster than conditions dictate!) To motorway closures grid locking the place!

Crikey, thank heavens for traction control eh?

That would have given me a real bum twitch moment :D
I'm not a fan of stability systems, but I guess it helped in that instance!

To be honest I think it was due to crossing a lane marker, but if VTEC/boost engages at the wrong moment the surge in torque seems to be able to break traction quite easily in the current weather. I can't really remember if it was like this last winter!
