Which 7950?

Both great cards . The ice Q probably has slightly better cooling . But the WF3 has an extra years warranty and uk based rma. Saying that my WF3 Is at 1150/1550 @1.23v and never goes over 65deg ...

'The ice Q probably has slightly better cooling'.

Only in that it blows the hot air out. Nothing between the temps on these cards would suggest to me that the WF3 has the better cooler as it manages great temps despite heat being dumped in the case, but I suspect good case cooling would be essential.:)

Idle Temps is not what you should be going off lol My card sits at 25c at times. Its the load temp that matters, gaming my max temp is around 60-70c Over clock of 1100/1500 @1.131v

Your card ? im running crossfire with 2x of them and the gap between them is like half a fingernail lol, i would say its very good.

And you have two running idle which blow the hot air out of the case. :p

And ? whats your point ? i posted in this thread to tell the op and show him the temps i get with 2x idle granted there idle but there great coolers even when running for instance in heaven with my current clock temps are 58c bottom 59c top lol

anyway vavoom lol

WF is also a good 7950 but the IceQ is better for multi GPU. They're both as good as each other.

Unfortunately the WF costs more and doesn't have anything extra to warrant the price premium.

What about the noise difference between the cards? One impeller against three fans that dont have to work as hard?

My point was the IceQ and the Gigabyte WF3 7950's are probably the two best cards to buy just now. I was trying to show how the two different style coolers both end up with pretty much the same temps, though I think the WF3 is quieter, and I keep seeing posts from the same guys saying, 'the IceQ has superior cooling' but I dont see that when you post your temps. And I was trying to say all this with a bit of humour thrown in. :D

Not sure about the WF cards but the MSI cards i had where like TORNADOS at 100% even 60% and they where loud as HELL could hear them loud even with headphones on and music playing lol

and the temps where stupid high though im talking multi configuration 2x cards.

ICEQ coolers i have 2x of them and they are really not loud at all even when at 100% fans speed..... i would recommend the ICEQ fans over every single 7 series card at the moment...

im really not a fan of the none blower type coolers that blow hot air all over your hardware and heat everything else up aswell.

OUT THE BACK AIR COOLERS ARE FAR FAR FAR superior .
