Hey all,

My dad has a Bose soundspeaker dock thingymabob - It uses the old generation dock connector. He wants to have a cable which plugs into the dock and then connects to his computer somehow so he can use Spotify over the speakers.

He doesn't have any other iDevices which have the Spotify app.

So does such a cable exist? Is it even possible?

Thanks,

Marky

Depending on the model of the Dock it should have an aux in port, which can be connected to the PC's soundcard. This is the simplest solution to your problem.

Yeah I thought this also - however, there isn't a AUX IN port anywhere to be seen :( Bit rubbish if you ask me...

The only connections to and from are the power cable and the dock connector at the front.

In that case something like the iTeck Dock 30 Pin Connector 3.5mm Audio Aux Data Sync Charging Cable might work.

I've only seen the cable used to connect to an iPod via the 30 pin connector and the aux out and then use the USB from the iTeck to charge. No guarantees on if it will work but its the best I know of.
