Looking for a couple of games to play over Xmas.

looking at what you played and enjoyed I would say

try

Homefront
Deadspace 1 & 2
Fallout 3 and new vages
Farcry 3
The Witcher 2 [ not sure ur like the witcher 1 was a bit different then the second but its still a realy good game ]

Many of what I have listed will be on sale or cheap so not much to lose
 
Just to clear up any misunderstandings as to the type of games I like.

Any fantasy game which involves making spells, potions or anything else, are not the type of games I would play. Not saying any of these types of games are good or bad, just not the sort of game I am looking for or ever likely to play.
Neither are Sleeping Dogs or any type of GTA games.
Only interested in SP action games, similar genre to the games I enjoy, listed in the opening post.

No mixing potions or constructing spells in Dark Souls. Great combat too. Check out some videos before you decide to shut that one out. :)

As I mentioned in another thread, try Stalker : Call of Pripyat with the Misery mod. Dead simple to install. Sooo atmospheric.

Already played Stalker but not with the mod.

Will be busy tomorrow.

Any links to reviews, gameplay and best prices would be much appreciated.
 
I really recommend F.E.A.R trilogy too, excellent games. I remember s**tting myself watching a family friend play them when I was about 12 hah.
 
+1 for F.E.A.R - great game. One of my all time favourites.

The expansion packs, Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate are also pretty good. F.E.A.R 2 and no.3 are actually not bad; they just might have been better received had they not been given the F.E.A.R name. I don't consider them the 'genuine article'.
