solution: you agree a small rent, that she pays into an acount that she and you own,

if you split, you give her half and that is her deposit on a new place

As above, shared bills. House insurance and upkeep to the property don't count with regards to shared bills, you'll be in danger of her owning part of your house if you let her contribute too much.

rule of thumb is, 6 months or so together and if she has paid anything at all, she can take half of what you own, ie flat, so for me what ever you do get it in writing that she is paying you lodgings / rent / board or something like that and make sure it's done properly so you don't loose out if it goes pair shaped.
