12v 4pin atx problem

I just received an over locked bundle today (gigabyte sniper mob, and core i7)

My problem is the small 4 pin 12v atx cable will not stretch to fit in the port at the top left corner. What can I do? Can I solder the wires to extend it? Help.

I had the same problem so i just bought a Bitfenix Alchemy extension as the OP said

I even linked the green one to match the sniper mobos colour scheme

Have you mounted the PSU fan up? If you mount it fan down you might get a bit more length as the cables should be closer to the mobo tray. I dont know what case you have but its worth a look right?

Yeah and dont run it through cable management if your case has it, go straight up from your PSU

Some even run it up under the motherboard to keep it tidy.

Yeah but if he is sort of cable he doesn't want to be losing any length even the smallest amount, if that means going over the top of the mobo so be it i say

Exactly. Once the extension is ordered and received he can route it round the back of the mobo tray
