Was all set to get the lumia 800 until I read bout battery life probs :( which is a real shame as at that price point it seemed a steal.
So started looking at other Lumia models and quite like the 820. At around £349 it more than double the price.

In the back of my mind I keep thinking should I just go with the iPhone 5 but agin a big price hike from the 820.

So what would you get 820 or iPhone 5

If I can wait that may be an option..something to think about at least;)

Why don't you want the nexus 4? Android based? Or something about the phone itself you don't like?

If you don't mind android then you can get the GS 3 LTE model for £369, which is an absolute bargain!

Yeah I really didn't want android to be honest. Although I will take a look at the one you said :)

LOL at the Android comments... I think people forget there is a choice...

You can get a Lumia 920 from EE for £329.00. However, some people are having problems with EE selling them one. I believe the handset can also be unlocked now using a number of websites.

However, if the 920 is too large the 820 is a cracking handset. My advise would be to try one for 7 days and if you don't like it send it back.

I didn't have many problems with the battery life on the Lumia 800, as mine would on average last about a day / day and a half.

However, I would advise a WP8 handset over a WP7 at the moment as the ecosystem is growing very rapidly at he moment.

I think Windows phone users are quick to defend their choice :p Nobody is forcing Android on anyone. Nexus18 was just asking why he wasn't interested in it.

Cause some of use have our own opinion that droid is rather crap?

Benjo has hit the nail on the head as to why I was asking. Where abouts did I say that he should get an android phone instead? (or something along those lines)

So don't jump to conclusions so quickly....

Reason I want to know (as well as being curious as to what it is he doesn't like about android) is because often, people aren't aware of what android is capable of etc. and if there is something that he doesn't like about android, chances are that he will be able to change it easily and the fact that he obviously wants to get a good phone but to try and keep the price down as much as possible thus the nexus 4 is probably the best phone you can get due to the price and the GS 3 LTE model is a superb phone and also at a very good price (regardless of the OS being used)

He wasn't questioning his opinion, he was just asking him to elaborate :o

Poster comes in asking about a WP, gets heckled by forum member why he wont by a Droid device, right, we are the insecure ones.

Many of us have been on the top end Droid devices for a awhile and just find the entire system dis jointed thrown together with a feel that the left hand is never going to talk the the right one, theirs no feel of integration etc.

And personally speaking, im never going to give Google the time of day to be honest.

Have you read my previous post yet?

Also he wasn't just asking about the windows phones but also the iphone 5.

"heckled"..............lolololololol.

Eh? What?

Again re-read post 13!

And again I ask, where did I say that he "should" get an android phone instead? I am simply giving him options for this reason:

fact that he obviously wants to get a good phone but to try and keep the price down as much as possible thus the nexus 4 is probably the best phone you can get due to the price and the GS 3 LTE model is a superb phone and also at a very good price (regardless of the OS being used)

Suggesting 2 devices, which are cheap and superb phones is hardly making him go down the android path.

I think this is the perfect way to sum this up

I think Windows phone users are quick to defend their choice

The fact that you have just slated google and android says it all, did I slate windows or iOS? No. It is up to the OP as to what he wants.

EDIT:

Oh yeah like your first post to this thread is soooo much better

Cause some of use have our own opinion that droid is rather crap?

He said he really doesn't want to go to Droid yet somehow you need to look like you are helping but really just wanting to push Droid onto people, I'll always remember as you did the same in my threads even after countless times telling you I didn't want anything to do with Droid. Especially because I sold my SGS2 at the time as I hated it.

Im not defending his choice, or mine, or ruling out yours, just Droid users have a tough time admitting people don't like Droid cause its not very good to them.

Sorry for the butthurt.

And if you think this looks like a person defending their choice ( one im happy with), what the hell does it look like when you get a well known Droid fan coming in to a thread Cleary asking only about WP and iPhones!?

There's no harm in asking for his opinion on why though. No need to go on a personal crusade, Jesus.
