Hi guys, Long time no post, How I have missed the forums,
So, Its christmas and a friend of mine has money to spend, He wants a PC that is:
- Of average size so we can tuck it behind his TV
- Can play Football Manager 13
- Light movie usage, probably some small DVD files through VLC
- Light gaming possibly, Fifa e.t.c
So I spent a few minutes lining up a small basket, I have left out a graphics card as I haven't looked into the newer NVidia cards for a while now and not sure if the 610/20/30 e.t.c would at all be a good idea.
He also already has a 2TB hard drive but I might need to include a cheap SSD as he uses the 2TB in one of those Docking Stations
YOUR BASKET
1 x AMD Athlon II X4 Quad Core 640 3.00GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail £59.99
1 x Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £39.98
1 x Cooler Master Elite Power 500W Power Supply £29.99
1 x Xigmatek Helios XTK231 Mini Tower Case - Black £24.98
1 x Corsair Value 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low Voltage Dual-Channel Kit £23.98
1 x Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £15.98
Total : £209.00 (includes shipping : £11.75).
Any suggetions or improvements are more than welcome, I have gone with the AMD board and chip simply because of cost and the fact that the X4 is a powerful chip for what it is.
Thanks Guys
