Just picked up ArmA 2 in the flash sales as I doubt it will go any lower 
Have played the base game before and loved it, but am really looking forward to playing DayZ finally!

Nope...... Now they've missed a Christmas Launch you're talking at least 3 months before they release it!
Besides anyone wanting to play Dayz now i'd highly recommend you join a taviana or Namalsk server, much more fun than Cherno.
I'd wait for standalone DayZ tbh

The game was originally planned for release by the end of 2012, but as Thegoon said they have missed a Christmas Launch which means a few months until it is released.
Half life games are apparently on flash sale as well

I too would like to know this - the game looks really fun, but the extra cash for the (admittedly numerous) DLC bits shifts it from 'just get it' to 'requires thought' pricing...
I played the demo a while ago and thought it was good fun, with the slow mo kill shots and shooting soldiers nuts off if you like that sorta thing!
Shows as £17.37 for me (50% off) and says its a flash sale.
Yep, they are a flash sale. However, as you say, they are not advertised. I wonder if Valve is doing flash sales but not showing some of them on the main page. So basically your lucky if you stumble across it at the right time.

I wouldn't say the DLC is essential and a lot of it can be picked up when the world events come around (assuming they are still doing this). The DLC is on offer in most sales anyway, so you can always pick it up at a later date.
