Will this heatsink fit in the Shinobi?

Hey.
I'm planning on buying a Prolimatech Super Mega heatsink.

As you can see it's 158.7mm.

My case on the other hand can only take 158mm heatsinks

Will it be a tight fit or will it not be possible at all?

I had no probs with a 160mm K2 in my old Shinobi. You should be ok

Looking at the review it was tight for 158mm but with that extra height plus any other factors which could come into play you might find it impossible to install the side panel.

Well, the K2 had at least 5mm or more space left, so...

Official clearance height is 167mm which seems to match my findings

Really? It's because I can pick up a Antec 620 instead for A LOT cheaper.
Also I don't have the Shinobi XL in case you were referring to it.

Which one should I go for?

I can always mod my side panel but I'd rather not.
Antec 620 for £15 less?

No probs mate. If it's 158mm, it'll fit with about 9mm spare.

Yeah it is £27 but then I would spend another £10-20 on fans.
Probably £20 on some Corsair SP fans.

I used to spec the Coolermaster 612S along with the Shinobi and people chipped in saying it wouldn't fit. The 612S is 163mm tall and it does fit the shinobi (not the XL the standard Shinobi)

I'm going to get rid of the red LEDs, so my theme will be black and a bit of blue.
Mainly black.
