My trusty old 480 has finally bit the dust last night, so for the moment running off the 3770k in built graphics which aren't to bad tbh.

Well anyways i have £300 max to spend on a new card, but can't decided to go for either save abit of cash & go for a 7950 or max out for a 7970 or the 670.

670 is even or very marginally slower than a 7950. 7970 is only 5% quicker than a 7950.

7950 is your best option. Give it an overclock and you're good to go :).

While you are short of a graphic card at the moment, you could try overclocking your iGPU for now.

I managed to overclock my HD3000 from stock 850MHz to 1950MHz just by changing the frequency in bios :D

Not sure about the HD4000 though.
