Unfortunately this really is a one off offer at this price. The money we have knocked off is massive and to sustain this sort of business we cant really keep it going much longer.

The offer as such ends tomorrow around mid day. :(

Which are better these or Microlab Solo6c? :)

Depends what your looking for from a speaker - tho personally I'd be weighing up the 1600t (better balanced sound) V microlab 7c (good bass, more power) rather than the 6c (more emphasis on treble, good for certain types of music but not so good alround).

Thanks for the observation mate, what about the M-Audio AV40? Also FYI I listen to bass hungry music and I do a bit of producing as well which I'm looking to get into more :)

Do these plug straight into my PC/soundcard or do I need something else too?

also goes to £69.99 with delivery saturday, or like £65 for 31st too :(

Cheers guys! Ordered. Currently watching return of the king on crap speakers. Probably should have waited :D

Short of going for a 2.1 or other setup with a sub-woofer you really want the microlab 7c for bass hungry music - the edifiers are good for music production tho as their out the box reproduction is decently neutral. I've no experience with the M-Audio AV40.

Well I'm also open to the idea of buying a subwoofer in the future, do you have any recommendations for one if I went with the Edifier's or Solo6c?

Or would I be better off saving for a decent pair of monitors such as some KRKs but I guess they would lack bass as well?

sooooooo tempted. but their is nothing wrong with my 2.1 setup

all thought it would be easier to leave one at uni so i don't have to keep lugging one home ( that might be a good reason to splash the cash ;) )

Well I cancelled my order on these.. as a set of Harman/Kardon SoundSticks III are coming my way! :D I am convinced that I made the right decision as they do review really well and I just love them. All for £20 more than the Edifiers :)

Cam.

They are nice speakers and they do perform well. Removing job position from the equation... I think youve made a bumble personally but they are still good speakers for the money and you should enjoy them.

Not hearing the R1600Ts at this point is a good thing though as I have a feeling you may be a little disappointed by comparison.

Had mine delivered this morning, and after a little tweak of the equalizer built into the Xonar drivers, they sound pretty sweet with some of the youtube music I played through them. May sound even better with higher quality audio going through them.

Albeit I had come from a cheap 2.1 Logitech setup, but nice upgrade all the same... They do take up a little extra desk space though! :D
