New Year's Eve!

Unfortunately it looks like this year I will be doing exactly the same as last year, sweet FA.

Recieved a text off my Bro in Law this afternoon saying he's staying in this year (family and all). I understand that.

Could go to my mates in Blackpool but it's a bit of a dive and I'm not entirely keen on the people that he associates with who will no doubt be there.

I agree that paying a ridiculous amount of money and then paying over the odds for drinks (if your lucky to get served) is a pain in the ****. However, I would much prefer that than doing nothing.

Please excuse me whilst I go and have a little cry :(

Finishing work and then heading up to Sunderland to spend it at a family get together.

Usually a good laugh and catch up. :)

Quiet night in praying that time stops so I won't need to go back to work a couple of days after.

Used to spend every New Years Eve with the family, but I think they've got lazy/given up making the effort for the day as it's been a few years since we all got together on New Years.

As far as I know I'll be out "partying" for the first time in my 22 years. Yes, I know that probably sounds dreadfully dull and sad, but to be honest I'm really not the partying and getting slaughtered type. The only reason this year is any different is because my girlfriend has taken to it and has managed to coax me into going with her again (not that I don't want to spend New Year's Eve with her :p).

I hate it. Totally pointless time of year that everyone over celebrates. That of which I don't get, yeahhhh... lets celebrate getting older and closer to death. Just no. Everywhere is too expensive, that shabby local doesn't usual charge fifteen quid to get in and eat a scabby hot pot. Ohhh btw, don't get me started on Taxi fares. Thats why I am opting to work.
