Accidently Installed Win 7 Twice?

Hey guys

just installed windows on my new SSD, i checked in windows and the install is 55GB!!! When i boot it tries to make choose between 2 win7 installs so i assume the only logical answer is it installed twice?

Any idea how i can remove 1 install without having to totally format and reinstall?

Honestly for the sake of 20 minutes, format and reinstall. It will reduce possible problems down the road.

just reinstalled again and it installed twice again even with me watching it. what the hell...

How are you installing it? DVD or USB Stick?

What SSD is it?

an old retail DVD to a samsung 850 pro as listed in sig, im trying a different dvd and ive unplugged all other drives to see if that changes anything...

edit: ok so seems to be ok now after using a different disk and only having the 1 drive plugged in! setting up windows is never straight forward for me!

Ps. There is no such drive as a Samsung 850 Pro!

It is 840 Pro!

You could had just deleted the second Windows folder and been done with it.

You'd have to make other changes as well, for the sake of 20 minutes it was easier to just reinstall imho.
