Got it...Hell yea!

I prefer to listen to avforums reviews which have the black level as 0.0095 cd/m2 on an ANSI checkerboard pattern only slightly behind my pioneer Kuro@ 0.0012 cd/m2

The review if you want to read it

You prefer to listen to a site, who admits they couldn't even get a reliable reading?

The black is so deep, in fact, we couldn’t get anything like a reliable accurate reading with a full black pattern on screen but we did manage to measure it at 0.0095 cd/m2 on an ANSI checkerboard pattern. We don’t necessarily even trust that measurement

Nearly everything is the same on st and vt :)

more hdmi ports
better screen filter
thinner bezel
more calibration

The only thing that would be of any use to me would be the better screen filter and that is definitely not worth £500+

Oh and the vt50 has nearly twice the input lag :)

All I'm tying to say is the VT and the ST are quite far apart you could put a VX300(a £7500-8000 professional screen depending where you get it ) next to the VT and ST and the blacks will look similar

It's quite hard to get a reliable reading that low, because black levels that low even minamal ambient light becomes a factor, a lot of people have said the KRP Kuro was probably lower than measured because of it

i'm not sure how to game in 3D, i'll have to take a look at the manual, my TV had no glasses with it, maybe why it's £ 100 cheaper

I use Panasonic glasses with my epson projector and I find them to be one of the better more comfortable makes of glasses

It's not comfort that's the issue, the image is a lot darker with the panasonic's and the colours are overly saturated, I'd recommend you also try the 3D3 glasses.

i used the tv for the first time yesterday..... previously for gaming only

it's excellent, the quality on HD is perfect, it looks miles better than in the shop and that was on HD too, it's so damn sharp, the colours/ Whites/ Brightness perfect..... no screen retention, motion blur, no artifacts at all.

i saw that kids animation ``up`` on BBC1 HD yesterday, it looked awesome.

PLASMA gets bad reviews from these LED Guys, it's all rubbish, this is the best screen image i've ever seen before and well worth 900 quid.

PLASMA is supposed to be too dark/ whites not white enough etc, no if anything it's too bright, it's deffo brighter than CRT.

Audio is bad, but i'm getting used to it, i can hear it ok on 50% so it cant be that bad, the tv also has a slight buzzing noise, but only on white screens and if the Audio goes quiet, but it aint exactly too loud, it's the sound of Capacitor Whine, so it's similar to my AMD 7970 CARD.

The tv's contrast is flipping excellent so it makes viewing at night a real pleasure, it looks so 3D... The screen image to me looks real.

we already have the 42'' G20 and that's good on HD too, but the ST 50 is miles better, anyone that wants a smaller screen forget the LEDs, i mean just forget them, get the ST42'' instead; it'll amaze you
