I think I have a buyer for the 911.

My plan was to buy a Maserati Granturismo however I am still open to suggestions. I am not bothered about runnings costs but I Want something that will not depreciate too much. I plan to keep the car 6 to 9 months.

So does anyone know anything about the Lotus? My budget is mid 30's at max. My only requirement in a car is good Satnav. My 911 has crap satnav and no bluetooth.

Doubt the Evora comes with a Satnav, but just buy a TomTom anyway :p

Just know they look gorgeous :p

Then again, I'd think the Maserati is in a different league to be honest... (sound)

Why aren't you getting along with the 911 (apart from the sat nav)?

I do like the 911 and my next car will be a Gen 2 911 with PDK. The main issue with my 911 is that I dont like the Nav and the lack of bluetooth, I did find the clutch a bit heavy at first but its fine now.

More then anything I just want to try another car (or 2) before I move back to a 911 which I will keep for a long long time.

EDIT: Just watched this and the interior has put my off a little.

If you're buying a Lotus for the interior or the sat nav you're missing the point by a million miles. You buy a Lotus for handling and fun by the bucketload. If most of your time will be spent in boring driving conditions then don't waste your time, there are better cars available.

If however bending physics is your thing then there's no better car.

Mid 30k replacement for a 911 in the short term and you're thinking about a Lotus? Are you mad?

How about a GT-R? I don't see values dropping too much at all.

2009 BMW 316d with Pro Nav.

You sure thats your only requirement? :p

LOL sorry, it must be fast, look good, and decent handling and ok as a everyday car. I am not fussed about number of seats, storage, MPG or anything like that. A good quality interior is very important to me so nothing japanese (i.e. GTR).

Having thought about it the lotus is probably not the right car. I am finding it hard to find a better car for the money then the Maserati. I have been offered a 2008, 48k on the clock with a 3 months Maserati warranty for £32.5k which is only 1k more then I am getting for my 2006 porsche.

Isn't the Evora just a bigger Elise?

I'd imagine it'd still be a bit of a pain using it as a daily unless you have petrol running through your veins.
Fantastic car by all accounts, but not for you :p

Why not get an M3?
