It was so bleak going to work this morning, coming into Bristol it would seem that all but a handful of people still had Christmas lights up, if any put them up at all.

Is it me or did it feel, un-Christmassy this year, i guess its a lot to do with my age and the fact i dont have any kids...

If Santa ever dies my desk mate would be the first inline to take over. He loves Christmas so much so that i am so fed up of hearing him or his little light up snowmen sing and dance. Really can't wait for him to take it all down! It felt like Christmas for a few weeks here but it got really boring and annoying really fast!

Wasn't too nice getting up at 2am today for the first time since Christmas Eve.

Didn't see 1 car on my way to work, it was like a ghost town.

I think id like to spend xmas where its guaranteed to be white ! It all came early, again this year didnt it. If only the marketing goons could wait a bit !!

Meh!
It was pretty crap being back in @4am on the 27th, never mind working today (which I am)
On the plus side, I'm not working tonight or tomorrow, but many of my workmates are.

Can't believe it's NYE already but then that just tells me I've had a great Xmas.

I spent my 6 days off ****ing around on farcry3, am now thinking i need to fork out another 400 odd on a new card as my 580 gtx doesnt quite cut it..

I worked Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

It sucked to not have a proper break over Christmas (and by that I mean two days in a row) but now I have today and tomorrow off which will be nice.

Plus I worked my arse off but I hit my target and got my bonus, which was the whole point of it, so I'm happy :)

The weather hasn't helped, because its not been that cold and we've had so much rain I think its not felt as Christmassy as it could have done this year.

Only had 24th - 26th off other than that normal working week, in the office today, and tomorrow which is stupid as I can do my job from home.

But no doubt will get caught in a bloody police drink drive check point that seem to spring up early morning on new years day :(

Yep in today and New Years day :(

Currently nursing a cold too and felt like **** this morning. Don't think it would have gone down too well phoning in sick so dragged myself in - so don't get too close :p

I'm pretty sure people have been saying this forever and it's just opinion.

IMO it hasn't felt like Christmas since 2000ish and its even worse these days with more stores trying to start the Christmas period even earlier. I don't blame them though, I bet a lot of stores only survive because of the added business every Christmas.

felt like Christmas to me, got to hang out with the family, family then had an argument and didnt talk for a couple hours. then had dinner and everything was happy again. just like every Christmas tbh =P

also it was peeing it down all day, isnt that what Christmas is supposed to be like?

i wont be finished until 6 at the earliest and only had christmas day and boxing day off. most of my mates have had around 2 weeks off but haven't done a great deal tbh. i do need a rest but not working today or tomorrow so will recharge and then go again.

4am - brutal. What do you do?!

Truck driver for Eddie Stobart. ( started @ 03:30 today! :/ )

At least the roads must have been pretty quiet?

Great until around 8am and crap for the rest of the day, especially on the M60 near the Trafford Centre.

Lots of small shunts too, very much like a bank holiday weekend - nobody concentrating on driving.....

I had quite a nice time visiting the folks etc. It's nice to have a change, spent nearly a week there.

Weather was not at all christmas-y, had to pick my travelling days carefully to try and avoid the rain, didn't quite succeed but at least it wasn't peeing it down. I've never seen so much flooding, ever. Couldn't have come by train if I wanted to, lines were flooded/washed away. Car it had to be.

I guess a break from work was the main thing, I don't have to return till wednesday and even then it's only light duties till the end of the week.

I'd feel the same as most of you guys appear to about going back to work, that's if I didn't still have another 7 days left till I go back. :)

Off out to go beer shopping for tonight shortly!
