I am with T mobile, Ill be upgrading from a HTC Desire HD, so a massive upgrade.

So im looking for the best deal I can manage, I dont mind spending £36 a month. ideally a free hand set, is this doable?

cheers in advance.

Yup, very doable. I've done exactly the same upgrade. Buymobiles.net has the handset going for £31 a month with tmobile on a variety of tariffs. Bought the handset only for someone to ring me up and offer me the same deal to upgrade rather than new contract for £26 a month. Cracking phone by the way, you'll love it coming from a desire.

I was and still am tempted by this great lump of a phone myself. Can'tdecide if iit's ott

It really isn't. You get used to the size very quickly. Anything else seems ridiculously small to me now. The slight reduction in width from the original note is noticeable and it slips into the pocket with no problems.

There was one out in the Voda shop. I couldn't resist. The iphone was next to it! ill say no more.

Battery life is my biggest beef with phone. Sorry for hijacking op

I had a One X, then went to a Note 1 for 3 weeks. Note 1 was too big. Went back to my One X and it feels perfect width for a phone.

Note II really is awesome. I am loving mine. You get used to the size pretty fast and won't want to go back to something smaller (that's what she said). Battery is pretty impressive too. I get 2 days heavy use.

I was on T-mobile but moved to 3 last month, the all-you-can-eat data is very handy. With the bigger screen you will want to use YouTube, iPlayer, Netflix, etc a lot more.

gf has a note 2, i've got a gs2 and i cant get used to how big the note 2 is.

its an amazing phone but the size of a gs2/razr i is perfect for me.

i feel daft holding the note 2 to my ear:o

Welcoem to the club, you'll enjoy the handset.

I've had it a month, and am still finding kwerky little shortcuts and cool things to do with the phone even now!

Go for the Note 2 100%. It's the best phone on the market if you don't mind its size.

£26/month from Affordable Mobiles (+£40 cashback through Quidco/Topcashback), 300 min, 750 MB data on T-Mobile.

ok so just called T mobile the lowest they will go is to stay on my contract at £25 a month and the hand set for £160, which im obviously not going to do.

using moneysupermarket.com I have found via buymobiles.net this

£31 Ultimate Internet 500
500 cross-network mins + 5000 texts + All-you-can-eat Data • 24 months
£ 31.00 a month

T mobiule tried to put me off buying this as they stated that any phone repairs would be outside the uk and because these are internet shops they have no overheads and that they couldnt compete with this deal....

so my question is, any of you out there using tertiary sites with major problems or is it all plain sailing?

Plain sailing tbh. Have bought 5 phones from them over the last 4 years with zero issues, although I've never had cause to return anything so can't comment on their customer service.

Three told me that I wouldn't have a warranty with the phone if I bought from them :D. I just told her I didn't care and to stop talking and cancel my contract :p.
