Hi,

Went around my sisters , my brother in law bought himself a V12 Aston Martin Rapide for Xmas

What an epic car, never been in a V12 before and the noise is just insane, effortless power just as a big GT car should be.

Hoping he might give me a go next time we go over at the weekend :)

He managed to get a fantastic deal as well, not too many people buying Astons at this time of the year!

I only wanted to see pics to share the Dudes joy, Like you say Fair play to him, The disappointment this thread will raise though is unforgivable. :p

Had one on my phone.

Yeah, my old boss had one and went in it a quite a few times. What an engine.

When it started up you could hear it from a long long way away.

Because that's the only thing stopping you from buying a brand new Aston Martin Rapide.. ;)

That was the joke & if you'd like to turn around you'll see a mark on the wall where it went over your head & splattered.

Very very awesome!

This isn't a dig, and I'm not looking for specifics for your brother in law but how do people buy a car of ~£140'000.
I'd assume finance, but what sort of ball park deposit and monthly payments are considered "normal"?

These are some yard stick numbers I threw together, do they seem about right?

Assuming you haggle 25% off: £105'000 purchase price
£50'000 deposit and 2 years @ £600/month.
Leaves ~£40'000k at the end.
2010 Rapids appear to be worth ~£80'000 which gives you £40'000 in your pocket.
So has 2 years Aston Martin ownership really just cost: 50k + (24*600) - 40k = ~ £24'000.
£1000/month doesn't seem too bad - assuming I earnt something approching 6 figures!

Anyway, more Aston pictures needed
