will 2 asus 7970 matrix platinums fit in a corsair 800d case or will the dividing shelf get in the way. thanks

Depends what slots in what motherboard tbh.

But if its a typical slot 1 & 5 setup then no it might not fit. Probably need to do the XL-ATX/10PCI slot mod to the case.

Its more you'll run out of PCI slots rather than hitting the midplate.

Ahh as above should fit fine with a RIVE, both X79 boards I've owned have always left the top slot empty due to the spacing from the CPU/Memory area, in which case you could have been short of a slot

2 matrix plats in the miv-e is a bad idea regardless of case.. the top card will be flush against the bottom.

Unless you put the bottom card in the 4th red slot and use the nf200 chip, but IDK whether you can engage the nf200 without having a card in the second red slot.
