Isn't Hefner equally shallow and vile?

I really don't get why he's celebrated, he publishes a jizz mag and acts like Jimmy Saville. He's basically one step up from a paedophile, living in a fantasy land pretending younger women don't run to the bathroom to vomit after kissing him. Total freak IMO.
He even dresses like a slob.
