Seeing as there is quite abit of interest in this game and it might be awhile before the OCUK league starts up, so while we are waiting for that to be done i thought about starting up this time trial to keep people interest in the game and having fun at the same time.

As regarding the rules there will be some but nothing to restricted, some rules might be added after the thread has been made but i will tell people when i have add them.


Rules

  • No modifications to the game files other than graphical improvements are allowed.
  • You must keep 2 wheels on the track surface at all times - the track surface is defined as the tarmac and the red/white painted kerbs next to it.
  • Times are submitted by uploading your time to the leaderboard via Time Attack menu and posting a picture as evidence, not sure how then check out this video.
  • Laptimes must be done in pro mode, times that are submitted in any other mode will be rejected.
  • A different forum member will choose a new car/track each week.
  • The combo will end on every Monday at 21:00 UTC and a new combo will be up a couple of minutes after the previous combo has ended.


Seeing as this game is new to some people here are some links that might help you out,

Setups, some setups for different combos are missing but just load a different setup for another track and make some adjusts to the gearing for each track.
No Visor Mod, I hate this view and there is no way of getting rid of it ingame i think so use this mod to remove it if you want.
Tracks, a list of addon tracks for when a new track is used.

Arrhhh....

Ive done a lap, but have all four wheels off the track for about 1/10th second, so im now trying repeatedly to beat my own lap, but cleanly, Frustration doesnt come close. 1:49.572 no clue if thats quick or slow, but im having a hard time beating/matching it cleanly.
 
2:02.730 - Hood - Xbox360 Pad (which I received today and have used for the 1st time)

Well, the 1st time I've played and only did 3 laps. Interesting to play with an Xbox controller (never used one before). Will have too see if using a wheel is better though.

So, I'm not so hard to beat ^_^

This is a great idea.. it's inspired me to dust off the old wheel. Feeling quite rusty atm.

The hairpin at the end is currently my nemesis!
 
Mr. F, what kinda FFB settings are you using in game, just for me to plug in and start tweaking? Would be rude not to buy this for 75p and do some laps.
 
Cheers, default settings actually weren't terrible. Quick 10 laps to learn the track and got down to a 47.41x, although I bet I've abused the track limits somewhere. Plenty of time to find. Using Hood view, GT3RS and G25 pedals.

All these times and no one is posting pictures to made the time legit, look at the quote below which is taken from the rules.

Also i have change the format when posting a new time, new format Username - Laptime - View - Controller

My laptime isn't going to be my final one so I didn't think there would be much point in posting a picture atm :p

Yes that is fine considering the racing is going the white line plus BTCC driver also over that line aswell.

If you want but considering that it's so cheap to get the game plus all the DLC's which is around £8.70, the 1st league will be based of the content you get from the basic game and if the series so successful there might be a 2nd season if Gimpymoo is up for it.
