I was looking to buy an Audi Q7 next year but was wondering what the insurance would be? I live in East London and I would be 17 when going to get Insurance. Would being insured as a named driver bring the cost down? Or even registering the car out of London?

You wouldn't..

If anyone was mental enough to insure you, it would likely to be for more than the car's value..

However you could afford a good Q7 at the age of 16, I suggest you use that same source to find a bit of money for the insurance too?

Haha when I asked my granddad he said You must be joking, if the cars £64,000 the insurance would be well over £70,000. My heart sunk at that point. :(

Q7 at 17 and asking how much it would to insure = more money than sense OR you're just full of BS. If it's your parents that are buying it for you then I'm sure they'll be able to afford the extortionate premium that will be quoted tbh.

I'm not even joking.. I live in Forest Gate and i've forgotten to update my sig (Got a Mac) but I don't understand why it would be so high. If i'm buying the car brand new and it has all the latest safety features etc. shouldn't that bring the price down?

Can you not think of a single reason why an insurance company would be scared witless at the prospect of a 17 year old with 1 weeks driving experience in a £65,000 Audi Q7?

Because at 17 you will have only been driving a few months and a 3.0 4x4 worth £60k is going to be classed as pretty high risk for a young inexperienced driver. Are you a troll?

I don't care about street cred, Ever since I was in my mates one I fell in love lol. And even if I was 17 and only driving for a few months what would be the difference between a 50 year old taking his tests and have only been driving for a few months?
