Yeah had I seen the UK price iI wouldn't have got it from abroad .

. I posted a thread in 'storage' sub forums. It achieves. 180MB per second write.!
200MB/s read.

I first chucked a 200MB file on, thought I could get a screen shot of the real time transfer. Alas. It was done in a second. I was actually shocked! One of my best buys of last 12 months

Decided to get some led bulbs to replace those horrible energy saving bulbs.

£90 well spent (at least I hope it is)

very interested to know what you think once installed.... so please keep us posted on this! I hate the energy saving bulbs I have, makes my hall and livingroom seem so... yellow... and old :s lol!

You suggested he search for it knowing that the result was a competitor to OcUK, you even quoted their price.

That would come under "Hinting about product availability at competitors and their pricing".

"Google X product" is forbidden if the result isn't OCUK.

Okay. :)

But if I had said "Google it" it would be fine even the name of it is clearly on the box?

Apologies for posting the request.
Anyone would think OCUK are paranoid about a bit of competiton. Fair enough if it is an a item they actually sell but as far I could see though OCUK do NOT sell Sandisk items.
Found it now anyway - the site is regularly mentioned here.

There's nothing wrong in recommending someone look at X product but when you essentially tell them where to find it, and how much it costs, that's going too far.

Knowing the name of the product I'm sure people can do their own research if they wish.

That would be fine, but you don't even sell the product mentioned???(As per my searching, I could be wrong)

Why should it matter if we link to a place that does sell it, because you dont??

:confused::confused:

Well have installed most of them already. It looks like I have one light fixture that doesnt seem to like these so will be replacing that at some point (its old anyway and I have been thinking about replacing it for while). Not sure why it won't work as it works with the energy saving bulbs.

It certainly makes the room brighter and now I don't have to wait an age for the light to come to the desired level. The candle bulbs cost £9.99 a piece and the spotlight bulbs cost £4.99 a piece. As for the energy saving aspect I will have to wait and see for a while but on the face of it it should save me a few pennies due to going from an average of 75W (for a three bulb cluster) to 12W

They don't sell that particular product but they DO sell similar products.

I know there should be pics but i just snagged a Logitech G510 for £16 delivered, last one in stock from a famous auction site. Pics when it comes. Its probably nothing to be proud of but what a saving, im always out for a bargain.

I bought one of these last week. Got it home and a plastic bit on the underside that holds a bolt has snapped off. the second time I have purchased a chair from there and it's the second time I have got it home to find it broken. Will not buy buying chairs from them again in future :(

If I recall correctly the rule is only usually applied when OCUK's core business products are brought up so GPUs, CPUs etc. I don't see how USB sticks are their main business and is also why Amazon can be linked for things like games which OCUK also sell.

Competitors

1. Amazon and places like these etailers/retailers are fine to talk about but please do *NOT* discuss our core business products or link to them such as motherboards, cpus, mice etc.

These two arrived today. Probably the best models I have seen of them:
