Beats by Dre disaster!

They are not far off quality of sound, in fact there is a review somewhere where they tested both extensively and the Senns edged it, but only just. They sound different, not worse.

It's not just different, it's completely different.

two very different headphones, which is why I am somewhat confused about how closely you peg them both. Is your other equipment playing a bigger part in this perhaps? Regardless, i dont disagree that they are better than a lot of people give them credit for. However, at > £300 new they should be absolutely excellent and they aren't. Neither are the 650's for that matter but I'd give them a higher mark than the pro's for what i think a £300 pair of headphones should sound like.

They are also quite good for surround movie listening in a quiet enviroment though I do believe them to be a tad overpriced/fashon statement.

Well atleast now they can finally afford to provide their family with groceries.

@James.miller....

Different is different......it's not worth getting your knickers in a twist.

Absolutely right Castiel, perhaps you shouldn't :).......I'M JUST JOKING.

I disagreed on one point only - that the two sets were comparable in terms of audio quality. The review doesn't say this despite you claiming it does, infact it makes quite an obvious nod to the 650's performance whilst noting their deficiencies. The rest of your argument I never disagreed with. I said it was a personal choice in my first post so lets just move on, hey?

thread title made me lol

as has been said. get in touch with barclaycard, they will freeze the money and send you a form to fill in to specify goods are counterfeit/not as described and you should be ok.

Tested a pair of Solo Beats and they were horrid. Really uncomfortable the way they sit on your ear rather than around. Each to their own though!

People's Arguement in this thread:
BEATS ARENT BAD MANZ THEY ARE ALMOST AS GOOD AS SENNHEISER

Except you could buy better headphones for less.
A lot less.
Like 3/4's less.

Monster are the scum of the technology industry tbh and the ones I had a go on were in a HMV store and therefore real..
I walked away feeling like I had just made 320 pounds on my Soundmagic pl30's

I tried the studio when I was looking and they were pretty good, but not worth the money. I ended up with ultrasone hfi-780 which I am well impressed with. It is quite correct that the Dres are hugely bass heavy, but some people like that.

Anyway, I would put them on gumtree like everyone else does.

Can the thread just end on this, please?

In fact, the real disaster would have been spending full price on an "authentic" pair of them. It's a trendy label hiding one word that says it all... "Monster".
