Even though posolski is faster with a higher shot?

Like others have said a lot of the time the game isn't based on how good a players stats are. Some players feel like raptor Jesus even when they have mediocre stats, Lazovic last year, Kokorin this year, I'm sure there are loads of other examples especially in regard to silver players who tend to have low techical stats but can still feel amazing at dribbling and shooting.

I bought RVP to use as my main striker and have Podolski as fitness. Played 5-6 games with RVP and couldn't use him at all. Think I got used to the power and pace of Podolski. I play with 1 main ST and LF/RF, RVP could possibly be better with a CF or another ST.

Got this game where to start just read this last page and

whoosh over my head.

haha yeah this thread is more a general 'banter' (hate that word, eurgh) thread than a Fifa thread. If you have any questions they'll get answered pretty sharpish in here though so, don't worry :)

edit: TOTY-wise I'ma go for

Buffon
Lahm (no idea tbh) - Ramos - Kompany / Chiellini / Barzagli - Alba
Pirlo - Iniesta - Yaya / Xavi?
Messi - Failcow / RVP - Ronaldo

People say that Barzagli is the best defender at Juve and they did go undefeated last season so I think they'll get a couple in there.

lol you forgot Rooney... who seems to make it even if he had a crap season

There was so much anger last year when he made it into TOTY instead of RvP

Do the UP cards get dished out at the same time? Not sure who'll get upgraded, RVP, Michu, Fellaini, Ba, Suarez all possible ones I guess.

I'd agree on BUffon. but as people have said, Casillas captained Spain to Euro 2012 win, and Madrid to La Liga/Copa Del Ray (Can't remember which) so has a lot of merits this past year.

Would be nice to see Yaya in, but I think with Xavi being Xavi he'll prob sneak it in, although I'd be happy to see Yaya get the credit he deserves!

Lahm? Could be, can't think of any world standout RB's, Alves hasn't had anywhere near as good of a year as 2011.

Alba could be a shoe in for LB. can't think of anyone else, Cole maybe?

I guess Chelsea won the CL but tbh the goalframes at their ends deserve about as much credit as any of their actual players...

I don't understand this whole point of TOTY so close to the UP Cards. Surely you might end up having UP Cards that are better than TOTY cards so then whats the point.

Example: Say Pirlo gets a TOTY card rated 90... then like two weeks later his UP card will be 90 aswell. Or will EA make sure TOTY cards will be better than the UP cards

I wasn't really into FUT last year so any light to be shed on TOTY and UP cards would be fab :)

Michu has to be an 80+ easy!

Others that deserve an increase in my book are Cahill, Jagielka, Walcott, Vertonghen & Dyer from Swansea!

Last year all UP cards were +5 on card values, with the exception of Messi being +4 taking him to 98.

This way they have "space" for IF's that are better than the original card, but not as good as the TOTY, for example, last year, Iniesta got a 92 normal card at launch, he got a 93 IF before Christmas, then a 97 TOTY card, and a 94, 95 & 96 SIF, TIF & FIF during the rest of the season (SIF 94 may have also been before Christmas, can't remember) and then another 95, this time a LM/LW card during the Euros.

Less complex way, FUT 12: Rooney, Base card 90, got an early 91 IF card, TOTY Card was 95 rated, got a 92/93 rated BPL TOTS (BPL Team of The Season) card in May time.

No probs mate :)

Also, UP cards are generally smaller increases, ie: Fellaini has his 81 crd, 82 IF & 83 SIF this year, he is expected to get an UP to one of those, most likely the SIF, and that then becomes the standard gold Fellaini card in packs (81's stay as 81's, they don't change to 83's).

Some players get an UP based on randomness/no IF's (Anderson last year) ....

It'll make sense as it happens, but the TOTY cards are the best of that player you will see all year......say EA, who then bring out 99 Messi last year in the summer!!

I remember an EA tweet saying that TOTY will be the highest card that a player can get regardless how many IF's they get throughout the year.

Here's what I think TOTY will be:

Casillas
Ramos Kompany Chiellini Cole
Xavi Iniesta Pirlo
Messi RvP/Falcao Ronaldo

IIRC Ramos could be put in at RB but with CB position (did that happen in last years TOTY to someone else)

Yeah some randomness definitely... Anderson and Cleverly last year. Some Man U fans at EA :p

Best thing for profits would be position change cards... like if Reus or Podolski are moved to LW/LF then go out and buy all the ST/CF cards because they will go up in price :)

Apparent "Leaked TOTY"

Casillas, Marcelo, Alves, Pique, Ramos, Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Falcao, Ronaldo.

Must be BS. There has to be some EPL in there.
