Daniel Taylor at the Guardian did an little piece on him a while a go. He says it's him, and he's definitely still on City's book but he hasn't seen him at the club in a while.

It is very sad to see. Such a shame to see his career go the way it has. Without knowing the complete details it is impossible to say if the club should have done more or it is his fault.

he is as far as I know still contracted to us at least until June unless of course he has already left.

I thought he was telling the players to go over and thank their fans as they had paid £62 for their tickets.

The Lino saying that is cool, but he probably picked the wrong guy...

Even as a Man Utd fan I'd find it hard to believe Joe Hart wouldn't have been heading in that direction anyways, the guy's probably one of the most down to earth and likeable footballers around.

Also as for Michael Johnson, what a waste. He looked like he had some talent when he first broke through into the first team.

*Edit* I can't type for **** today.

Just watched the vid.

Why do managers leave smaller clubs who they and the club ate both on an upward trajectory to manage sinking ships but are "bigger"

Freedman to Bolton, lunacy. Lambert to Villa, idiocy. Appleton to Blackburn, bonkers! Saunders to Wolves, perhaps explainable. Couple to Bolton, daft. Now Robinson who is doing an amazing Jon at MK to Blackpool.

I can see there thinking to an extent, they hope to turn them round and enhance their rep but when a club is clearly on such a downward trajectory it can only (and almost always does) end in tears and ruin a young managers rep.

Stuuuupid!

Money :p

Every time! They have been offered more money and more "belief" from the club owners. Lambert to Villa was just silly though, same (arguably) for Rodgers to Liverpool, most of these guys want to prove they can really build a squad to meet high expectations but that appears to be less and less possible now. Plus a big pay packet at the end of it is always worth while...

Oh come on Rodgers to Liverpool isn't at all like that.

It's obviously a step up and is a far bigger club than Swansea, not money, that would just be a perk.

No, can't see why Rodgers would move from Swansea to Liverpool, you know, that Liverpool who are the most succesful English football club and are quite a big club, can't understand the appeal myself. I'd totally stick it out with Swansea.

Herpderp.
