*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

I guess you won't be able to set up push or google apps then... You could see if adding the account as imap solves the problem, if that's possible with blueyonder email.

Hum issue seems common, I like the stock email apps simplicity and layout. Its just a shame it acts up with pop3 accounts :( reconfigured the account a few times but still always removes new emails from the server once it syncs, original email still present on the server when I check via webmail.
I'm trying aquamail now as I need working mail on this tab.

How about forwarding all email to your gmail and setting up filters to have them organised ? You can still use the stock mail client if you don't like the Gmail app. That's what I do personally for multiple email addresses and every time I buy/flash a device it's just one email that I need to setup.

With this method I can choose which email I want to reply with so the receptionist in theory sees the email they sent the mail at.

Got my Nexus 10 last Monday and just thought I'd post a few impressions after a week of usage :)

Firstly, the device itself is gorgeous and a lot better looking (especially in terms of build quality) than when you view it online in reviews etc. I was definitely right to not bother with a smaller 7" tablet and just go for the larger 10" instead, which makes a huge difference when using the browser or any app with split content (i.e. gReader or Falcon Pro which split the screen to open up the web view inside the app instead of just opening the default browser). Weight is good too, can use the device one-handed fine in portrait mode, but two-handed with landspace mode makes the best use of the device and OS. And the display on the Nexus 10 is an absolute gem, and I've certaintly never owned a device with this high a DPI, so text rendering is really smooth and apps that use the displays resolution properly look great on the display. (Only problem is now my 1280x800 resolution MacBook Pro feels noticablely more 'Non-Retina' now…)

In comparison to the brief time spent using an iPad (just testing out friends iPads whilst round at their houses etc.) am glad to say that the Nexus 10 is up there in terms of hardware quality and especially value for money, and as an Android phone user since mid 2010 am definitely more used to Androids ecosystem instead of iOS. The only downfall at the moment on the software side is the noticable difference in terms of the quality of apps for some services. Great example is the difference between the Google+ app (great layout/flow and makes good use of the devices resolution) and then the stock Facebook app (massively stretched posts/photos, poor navigation and other issues). In time hopefully more developers take note of how Google has optimised its stock apps for this size resolutions and amend their apps in the same manner.

Other things to note:

- The stock status bar layout with the 3 navigation buttons placed in the centre is an absolute joke, and as a result I had my device rooted and the latest version of Paranoid Android rom installed within an hour of unboxing the device. Tablet UI is the certainly way to go in terms of comfortable usage so you don't end up having to move your left hand to the centre of the device for navigation. Having PA installed is also a benefit in terms of being able to change the DPI of individual apps, which I started playing about with yesterday.
- Similarly the stock keyboard in 4.2 doesn't work at all on a 10" tablet, far too stretched and lacks being able to long-press for numbers/symbols. Easily solved though with a 3rd-party keyboard app, using Swiftkey 4 Beta in split keyboard mode.
- Been having a few issues with Wifi signal dropping and had a few random reboots when using the browser, but there's a thread on XDA with other users experiencing the similar issues so hopefully 4.2.2 will help fix some of these.

But my absolute biggest gripe with the device so far is Flash support. Yes you can download the last version of Flash and it installs fine, but the performance and random hick-ups/crashing when using flash in apps that allow support for it isn't great. And really it's a bit of a shame, as if Adobe were to just update the plugin and Google support flash in Chrome etc then the problem wouldn't exist. (Kinda makes me interested to try out a Windows 8 tablet to see how it handles Flash…)

Overall though a great product, and being my first tablet I'm really enjoying using it for certain tasks that I'm no longer picking up my Macbook for (like Google Reader, Twitter, PDF Magazines, light web browsing) and hopefully add more to that list of uses with new apps etc :)

Don't know how lack of flash support would be a gripe since it was never going to be supported and never will be. Nothing much Google can do about it.

I was also like what the eff at moving the buttons to the middle of the bottom bar but I got used to it and I guess the reason they did it was that it would look strange without the clock there.

Just received delivery of the below case which I discovered when browsing the XDA Accessories Nexus 10 sub-forum.

It's similar to a Poetic one found on Amazon, but I read bad reviews about the faux leather pealing from the plastic shell, so I opted for this one. Bought it from an Australian site and it shipped directly from the supplier.

Really impressed with the quality, apart from the tool scuff mark on the clasp. You should see what Nexus 10 accessory I'm taking delivery of soon ;)

Is there a one click root solution available yet?

Re: Battery, the standby on this thing is amazing, my TF101 would barely manage 3 days with no use, I'm over 10 days now with 50% battery remaining (includes some use too!).

Is it a magnetic cover? Link please.

Yeah it's magnetic. Linky.

Is there a one click root solution available yet?

I doubt there is because no one will want to find an exploit to root the device, seeing as a Nexus' bootloader can simply be unlocked and an insecure kernel booted.

Yes there's a one click solution to root :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015467

I have used this to root my N10I to get sky go working. Very simple. Just follow the steps.

Anyone finding the HDMI out a little fussy on their n10? it seems only certain TV sets in my house hold will output audio with it connected.
Not all that bothered as it works on the main flat screen and av receiver, but other sets don't play ball.
Could be a micro HDMI issues maybe

There's quite a few complaints about the audio not working, especially in Panasonic TVs, not sure about the fuzziness though. I'm waiting for my cable to test my panny TV.

Sorry I ment fussy as in picky

Yes, I just have the "no audio over HDMI" issue, but only on certain HDTV's.

I guess HDMI specs have moved on a fair amount and non of our TVs are less than a years old now.
It doesn't work on our Panasonic viera 32" and a Sony bravia 24" both ain't that new to be honest.

At least i know my new toy isnt at fault , does seem a common issue as you say.

Mine's fine on the Toshiba set in my room but has the no audio bug on the Panasonic plasma downstairs which is a few years newer. From what I read it's a handshaking issue on Panasonic tvs, hope it can be sorted.
