Gone back to pc gaming, so what can i cut out or change? Shall be used on a 40"3D screen~
(Shall add another gfx card later on, ram was gonna be g.skill rip but ofs)

If he wants to game in 3D he may well have to set it to 720P in game. The FPS are locked to the refresh rate. 1080P 3D on my samsung 40inch TV is 24Hz so FPS wont go higher than 24FPS which is poor as we all know. At 720P it's 60Hz so allows upto 60FPS which is much more acceptable

In that case he won't ever need 2 GPU's. So he could save a lot of money by getting a cheaper mobo and PSU :)
 
750W Will be ample for 2 Gigabyte WF cards, I run one in my system and get 330w full load from the mains with the CPU & GPU stressed.

Thanks for the advice indeed this was what i was looking towards~ shall see what kind of results i may get but could expect them same

No worries bud. It stumped me for a bit, it's a limitation of the HDMI 1.4a interface. If this is a build for the lounge/front room I'd probably spec something like this as a next gen console killer.............

16GB for gaming is OTT but this mini-itx mobo (with wifi) only has 2 DIMM slots so i've gone with a 16GB dual channel kit from the get go. The pad comes with a wireless receiver for the PC, if you use XBMC as a frontend at startup you can navigate it with the pad, you can even launch steam (in big picture mode) from XBMC.

Keep in mind that to play non 3D titles in 3D you need to buy the 3Dplay driver from nvidia (you'd have to pay to get a driver for AMD GPUs too). Some games natively support 3D like Crysis 2, I'd imagine Crysis 3 will do too. You can download a trial of the 3Dplay software before you buy to try other titles in 3D and decide if it's worth your while.

You don't buy the driver for Nvidia.
The 3D stuff comes with the normal driver, it's the emitter you've got to pay for, a long with an Nvidia certified 120HZ monitor.

For AMD, you'd just use Tridef (Which comes with quite a few 120HZ 3D monitors anyway)

He has a 3DTV he wants to use Martini, which is why I was talking about the 3DTV play software. I used the trial, never paid for the software in the end. As I said some games natively support 3D anyway so don't need the software for those titles

Yes mate you are :)

It's partly my fault for not using the correct name, I was trying to recall it from memory. I've stopped being lazy and provided the link to the software now. As I said I've got a 3DTV and I run my HTPC through it, so I have some experience with all this faff lol

P.S I meant on the Ball not that you are losing it ;)
