Which retail store going be next to go ??

Good call on WH smiths. I'm gonna vote currys though. Where's everyone gonna go on Saturday afternoons without high streets? .. Parcel Depot!

It's sad to see all these shops close and so many people losing their jobs. Then the shops get replaced with too many Poundland type stores or ca$h-for-gold places.

WH Smiths will last for a few years yet I reckon, it has a wide range of products.

Our coop makes loads of profit
the one that used to be in newcastle was always dead with only one till on and it was bloody massive probably the biggest supermarket I ever saw.

It was bloody expensive aswell like they didn't want see tesco , asda , morrisons , fenwicks , M&S as competition

I just assumed all CO-OP's were the same.

are the supermarkets seperate entities from co-op travel , electricals and the bank ?

I'm suprised Anne Summers is still going given the internet gives you both cheaper products and discretion.

But then I get the feeling most of the woman that shop at Anne Summers like to be seen in there to fulfill their fantasy of being seen as a 'Sex In The City' type with a wild sex life.

No chance it's going to be WH Smiths. They are a well run company, have zero debt and have a monopoly presence in airports, train stations etc. True, they are in a declining sector, but they'll be going for a long time yet.

My money is on Thorntons.....outside bet of Halfords, Staples maybe...
