What would we do if we had another 1962-3

10 or 15 Cm are both utterly trivial compared to what happened in the sixties!

Like I said, I wonder how we would cope with a sixties winter?

I would love it if this happens. I spent the last winter in -30/-40C temperatures and have a load of old clothing and equipment begging to be used.

I would /flex and go out in my car with it's winter tyres, being all smug that I'd prepared well for winter.

Then find my neighbors cars are stuck in the snow blocking the drive/road and go back into the house swearing.

Someone said we're expected 30cm around here. That sounds very ambitious lol.

But if we saw something like back in the 60's, id like to think i could stay at home for a week :)

Once again, the sky is falling according to the Daily Mail. I swear it's 'journalism' like this that becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Rampant hyperbole that gets everyone thinking the worst and panicking over not even half a foot of snow.

EDIT: OT slightly, turns out that the pensioner who died was in Buxhall where my aunt and uncle used to live about ten years go - might give them a buzz later, they might have known him, it's a tiny village. In fact, I recognise the name of the neighbour in the article as one of their old friends :(

We made awesome snowmen in 62-63 :)

Oh and some scientists said the world was was beginning to freeze over..how wrong they was ;)

The two women getting out the spa can urm see my 6 inches of snow? or can try not to travel with me?

Anyway weather doesn't = news! Standards have slipped to a new low of life, especially when news is just pictures of people in the weather, pretty sad to think most people sit and watch the pictures instead of going out and playing in the snow.
