But never amazed you enough to check out the many investigations, articles, demonstrations, etc that show it was unquestionably possible that they were built just with plenty of slaves, rock, mud, wood and decades?

I watched a program on Discovery a few years back about it andI was sure it finished with them still being a little uncertain on the specifics of it.

So yes I did look into it.

Still amazing to think they built them with little in the way of 'modern' construction. Because even documentaries on the subject are still only guess work.

I'm not saying we know the exact way, but we can think of and demonstrate ways that could be used to perform all major processes, and that's all we need to do to show it doesn't require super-advanced-aliens.

Plus, yeah they're pretty awesome, but imho the pyramids are a bit meh to be honest . I mean they didn't have much better tech when putting together the colosseum, medieval castles, gothic cathedrals, etc, and they're loads more impressive than lousy pyramids!

I went to the Pyramids a few years back. (pre-Arab Spring)

Bear in mind that Pyramids were basically huge stasis chambers.To hold back environmental damage. Once sealed they were hermetically so. So the remains of the Pharoh would be preserved for the Afterlife.

The thinking behind Pyrimids construction in Giza came down to;
-The stones were Quarried and floated down the Nile to Giza during high river water seasons.
-The belief regarding the quality of construction of these massive blocks boiled down to Trial and error (your life literally depended on it)
-huge sand slopes were utilized to haul up stone blocks to each requiste tier in the pyramid and then stone was shaped accordingly to fit in place.
-Unlike contemporary times, the Human resources available to the Archtects of that era mitigated against technological issues. Why need a bulldozer when 5000 slaves do much the same job.
-Would have taken decades to do, but lets be honest, with the amount of poorly slaves sitting about breeding ut wouldn't be a problem.
Its also worth noting that humans haven't advanced on a biological/intelligent level of any significant margin. Contemporary humans have access to Tech, but individual humans on average are similar. Your Geniuses appear Willy nilly throughout time and they work with the tools of their period. Plato, Da Vinci, Socrates, Einstein they would at any point in human era stand out in relation to the rest of us.

I am a firm believer that to make out that great human endevours like the Pyramids being built by 'Aliens/Lizards'etc does a huge disservice to those that came before. Reeks of Jealousy to a certain degree by implying that human Ancestors were in some manner 'stupid' in comparison to us.

The Egyptians managed to cut and shape Obsidion which still to this day cannot be explained with the tech of the era.

I think a lot of Conspiracy theorists need to take a hard look in the mirror.

It's always amazed me about just how did they build the pyramids and the Sphinx's.

Not me -

This is old but I've never seen it mentioned on here and for me this is quite a feasible theory.

Past theories include a massive ramp, a circular ramp, lifting machines and the one I preferred when I was a lad - Aliens.
Anyway, these French dudes have come up with a theory with quite a bit of backup which makes it all obvious now.
