Last week I ordered 2 Seagate Barracuda Drives for £99.98 each, which should have been £199.96. I noticed on my card I had been charged £199.97 and to make it worse I didn't even get any free haribos!

Drives in question:

I demand my 1P be returned right this minute... Thieves!!!

The items are added together ex VAT. Then VAT is added on to the whole order.

The inc. VAT prices on the site are just for your pleasure.

Which makes £199.968 (rounded to £199.97)

Clearly drives are £99.9826 each.

But onto the more important no haribo issue, this is indeed a serious crime.

Looks like they use the ex VAT pricing in their calculations so by time they charged you for 2 and added VAT it rounded up to the nearest penny...

EDIT: Beaten :p

ps3ud0

It's actually correct if you work it out. It's to do with the VAT calculation.

rounding up is blasphemy , do you remember the superman movie where they are making millions from the fractions of a cent the banks didn't keep track of?

no wonder ocuk can afford all those haribos!

Just to rub salt into the wounds there were two bags of haribo in my delivery from overclockers that turned up last Thursday :D
